About Me

Burak Karaca

After more than 15 years of professional experience, I now work as an Architect Business Analyst at Intertech. With a focus on business analysis, mobile banking and digital transformation, I bring business needs and technology together, examine complex problems from different perspectives and develop sustainable solutions. I see analysis as more than a process for defining requirements: it is a way of thinking that reveals the real problem through the right questions, makes alternatives visible and supports better decisions.

I began my banking career in branch operations at DenizBank. After experiencing customers, operations and the everyday realities of banking processes firsthand, I moved into technology in 2021. This transition gave me more than a new specialty; it allowed me to look at the same process from both the business and technology sides. When assessing a need today, I consider not only the screen or function, but also the customer, operations, systems, potential risks and the impact on the process as a whole.

In mobile banking projects, I work across user needs analysis, user experience, performance, security and process improvement. I am especially interested in the aspects that users do not directly see but that determine product quality. Understanding why a function slows down, under which conditions it fails, what security risks it carries or where it may cause operational difficulties is as much a part of product development as making it work. That is why I deliberately maintain a close connection between business analysis and technical detail.

Finding the right question is central to how I work. When faced with a problem, I first try to define it accurately, challenge assumptions and distinguish between different possibilities before moving to a solution. Simplifying complex topics, helping teams understand the same problem in the same way and strengthening communication between business and technology are essential parts of good analysis for me. Challenging the current approach when needed, revealing hidden risks and asking “How else could we do this?” are natural parts of that approach.

Today, I want to use my experience not only in the projects I work on, but also to help teams improve their approach to analysis, see problems from different perspectives and build healthier decision-making processes. I believe I create the most value in business analysis, mobile products, process improvement and situations where a complex problem needs a fresh perspective. To me, good work is valuable both for the solution it produces and for the perspective the team gains along the way.
